Arrival by airplane
The Düsseldorf Airport is Germany’s 3rd largest airport and connects Düsseldorf to more than 180 destinations worldwide. The airport is only a ten-minute drive from the city centre. The railway SkyTrain links the long-distance railway station “Düsseldorf Flughafen” with the terminal.
HOW TO GET FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE HOTEL INTERCONTINENTAL?
The “Düsseldorf Flughafen” railway station is located at one of Europe’s main rail junctions. Around 300 trains – ICE, IC, EC and local trains/light rail – stop here every day.
There are different rail lines (RE 1, RE 2, RE 3, RE 5) taking you directly from the terminal to the Central Railway Station Düsseldorf in around 6 minutes.

The journey takes 15 to 30 minutes by taxi. There is a taxi rank in front of the main Arrivals hall.

Arrival by public transport
From the Central Railway Station Düsseldorf take one of the following metro lines to get to the Hotel Intercontinental:
- U 75 direction “Richtung Neuss Hauptbahnhof“
- U 76 direction “Krefeld Rheinstraße”
- U 77 direction “Am Seestern”
- U 78 direction “D-ESPRIT arena / Messe Nord”
- U 79 direction „Duisburg Meiderich Bf“
Get off at the stop “Steinstr./Königsallee“ and walk along Königsallee following Graf-Adolf-Platz.
